Quick questions

1) im hitting the track tommorrow, about 3 weeks ago i did an oil change with Mobil 1 supersyn 5w 50.... i usually use 10w40, decided to try this, no dramas, just wanted to know if this oils giving me the protections i need

2) at the same time i installed a Injen intake... when im throttle off slowing down from high revs im hearing a kind of clattering noise that i never heard before. Is this because of the steel piping and lack of resonant sound obsorbtion that the rubber OEM pipe had that may have kept this sound quiet?

Thanks for the help

That oil should be fine, even though its thicker. I've used it before and had no problems. Yes it could be a case of the above for question two. Also check there aren't any loose bolts/cracks in your exhaust system. I've had similar noises from crack in extractors.

the oil is good for the track. As for noise, check for loose bolts in the engine bay. Have fun at the trackday.

i use motul 15w50, just for the bit more protection, the noise you hear is prolly the solid lifters, ive just had mine adjusted and they are still quite noisey, you can prolly here it more becuase of the new intake
