Alarm noise

Ive got alarm fitted with me car.. i doesnt sound wen i lock my car or unlock,, is there a way to get the sound? wen the alarm triggers theres sound

im assuming that it hasnt made the sound before and you've just fitted it in rite?

some alarms require jus holding or pessing the disarm buttom

to silent arm on myn req' arm/disarm buttons press at the same time

Some have a feature where you can have it in 'quiet' mode, ie it doesn't sound when you lock/unlock but the sired sounds when it's set off. My old Steel Mate (cheap but good :p) had a button on the remote for the siren to run it in normal or quiet mode.

i have the rhino one.. its got three colors for buttons, blue, red and green .. THE RED IS for the arm and disarm

that usually just turns the actual siren on the alarm (if the alarm triggers) off though.

nah for mine... turns all sound off..

ie if i turn it off from there.. there s no sound when i armed or disarm the car...

but does your siren still go off when the alarm is triggered?

lol...that's no good then :p that's what I thought lol....

his siren is still sounding, so it sounds like that isn't the problem.

my siren goes off and all.. i just want that chime sound wen i lock and unloco =) .. on the siren itself its only TURN ON and TURN off Alarm

oo, dont know much bout rhinos
maybe u could check with the person who fitted it in, or look for the manual for ur model from rhino

maybe its model specific that it doesnt make any sounds, or maybe u could switch it on.

i go to the rhino site.. for some reason they wont let me download the manual coz i have to enter some password in which is odd and wen i bought this car of mine, it came with the alarm. so dont know much about it

might have a valet switch
(this is used when u take ur car to mechanics or something so when they open doors the alrm doesnt go off every second) the switch / button could be located neer your feet somewhere i suggest you read ur manual if u have one.

Your system should already make a sound; I think it's on the Fob, not the car though...
It's been a while since I used my Steelmate Alarm, though.
