oil leak!! some pics..help ?

hey guyz, as before, i have an oil leak..and dunno where....however it leaves a "spray" mark once in a while and i dunno what causes it..it ain't the belt coz it should be sprayin all the time...and it ain't my exhust i think..anyway..here is the spray mark that is left :

Is it left after you start your car some mornings and is it left behind were your exhaust is? or under your engine?

That full on looks like condensation shooting out the back (or from a hole in exhaust) after leaving it outside over night when really cold!

however i do see oil underneath my engine block and next to my tranny??

it usually there in the morning after starting, hwever today when comiing home, my dad noticed a spray while drivin up the driveway, ?? no idea

The spray comes out your exhaust some cold mornings if your car is running rich, nothing to do with an oil leak. But the leak under your engine block, you should probly get a mechanic to check it out. :)

Running too rich?? I was always under the impression that it is water as condensaton forms over night and when you start up it is the condensation collecting into larger drops and shooting out the back.

yeah thats also a part of it. i think its mainly the richness because of the black soot that is spat out.

it sounds most likely like what everyone is saying

however have you ever had your engine carbon blasted? it cleans out the s**t from the exhaust lines etc. I usually get it done every 4th service and it usually clears up that problem... also feels alot smoother at idle.

well..l'm running really rich..l mean..really rich for some reason

when i rev the car...heaps of smoke comes out and u can really smell the petrol!

Stop using methanol :P nah maybe just use unleaded petrol for a while etc. Im sure theres other things that you can do to stop the car from running so rich...

i have the same problem...i have 88 civic. after i start it in a cold morning about 3-4 minutes later this crap comes out. i put premium in it. should i stop doing that???
it sh!ts me coz i have black marks all over my driveway now... :|

Try resetting your ECU and see if that helps.

Should at least help a little with the smoke

get the oil checked out by a mechanic man
