'Entry level' as in reference to what?

Maybe 'quoting' the statement will help.

Entry level generally refers to beginners stages. Example

"The Yokohama A539 tyres, although street styres, make an excellence choice for the entry-level track driver"

"The Epiphone Les Paul is a great guitar for the entry level guitarist, however a more senior player may want to look at the Gibson range."

Edit, since we are in the car audio section...

"The Cadence range makes for a good entry level sound system, whilst enthusiasts a bit more serious about SPL and SQ should check out Focal's range of splits aswell as Alpine's F1 Status Amps."

Banana's

Normally products in the market can be put in 3 groups
Good/Better/Best or Entry level, Mid range and High End.

Entry-level would be Good by that chart.
Mid Range would be Better.
High End would be Best.

In car audio most brands have Good/Better/Best range. (A.K.A Entry Level, Mid Range, High end)

Examples;
JBL= CS and GTO Range are Entry Level, Power Series is Mid Range and GTi is High-end JBL products.

Pioneer Speakers
TSG Entry
TSA Mid
TSD/TSC Higher End

Another Example using Honda Terms.
DC2 Integra GSi (Entry) or (Good)
DC2 Integra VTiR (Mid) or (Better)
DC2 Integra Type R (High) or (Best).

Catch my drift?!?!??!

In a way yes. Entry level will always be cheaper then the other two. But one brands Entry level could cost more then anothers Mid-range and High End.
