As this is my first time with Coilovers, I'm looking at them and scratching my head on how to adjust them. I've searched and searched and it seems that I can't find a direct answer.
I want to lower my car a tad more but I don't know whether I need to adjust the 2 top lock nuts and "compress" the spring somehow or undo the bottom lock nut and turn the entire shock assembly thread into the bottom of the coilover (where it connect to the control arm)....
These are BC N+ on a EM1 btw... can anyone help? Pics would be appreciated.

Yes loosen the bottom locknut and adjust, not the upper two holding the spring.

jack up the car
Use ure C spanners to looosen the bottom nut, then the upper nut.
Lower to desired height
Tighten lower and upper nuts against each other and make sure all heights are even.

Not so ~ on the N+ , you need to minimum take off the (front) fork or drop teh rear lower control arm. The bottom of the shock is needed to be free from the car to "move" around to your desired height.
As you said -
undo the bottom lock nut and turn the entire shock assembly thread into the bottom of the coilover (where it connect to the control arm)....
jack up car on stands , take off wheel , take off LCA connection to the shock (either front fork or rear LCA) and then loosen the lower nut and slide the shock seat up or down to raise/lower. measure to equal both sides and do a similar job for the other end.

not so with me...last week i re adjusted my height on a dc2r with BC N+ and i didnt have to take off the front forks or rear lower control arms.
dont lower it from the springs...keep the springs tight and adjust the bottom part of the shock...thats the whole reason why they make it dual adjustable these days.

I have DC2R ones too - U gotta either loosen the front fork off ( take off the 14mm side lock bolt out) so the front perch can move around , or drop the rear LCA so the rear bottom perch can move around :)

didnt happen for me mate...i dunno why...my springs where tight, i loosen the bottom black nut...then with a little force i grabbed the whole shock and started turning...never took off the forks or lca..weird....

umm its impossible at the rear to turn - as the shock is "locked" into
the LCa via the bottom 14mm bolt - i guess your shocks are just loose so you can actually turn the shock (as in the spring is not firmly captive)

i see where ur coming from mate.... but my springs/shocks are not loose..coz if they were i would def know when im driving with all the knocking and shit... also im pretty sure BC coilovers where made not to do all that work just to adjust the height.

You can see my dilemma in not finding a direct answer.
It seems different people do different things - however it looks like the nuts that hold the spring are not touched. The shock is either turned around or disconnected from the LCA and the red part swiveled.....

You have direct answers above :)
jack up car on stands , take off wheel , take off LCA connection to the shock (either front fork or rear LCA) and then loosen the lower nut and slide the shock seat up or down to raise/lower. measure to equal both sides and do a similar job for the other end.
And the right answer is , as stated ~ to adjust the BOTTOM only and leave the spring perch alone.

lol - ok Benn....
By screwing the shock while attached or disconn from the LCA??
I also need to find out where to put my damn wheel stands....?? Won't fit next to the jack when jacking up (ie: the jack is already taking up all the room.....).

Its easiest to unlcok the lower screw while it is disconnected from the fork(front) or the LCA (rear)
Here are the jackpoints - same with most hondas. Put the "jack stand" on these points only. Anywhere else mayb push a hole thru the metal!

Thanks guys!
Astro's and Ben's method both work.
I've got N+ on the EM1.
Ben's method works faster/easier (as he has pointed out).
Astro's method is abit more effort, you don't need to loosen the bolt holding the shock to the LCA. When you jack up your car, loosen up the bottom black ring on the N+, you should be able to turn around with your hands (with some effort)
