besides from the sticker at the back of the car (which is missing), how can I verify if my ride is a vti? it's an ej8, d-series engine, d16y8 to be specific. thanks.

if its says vtec on d engine then its a vti, d series head is like greyish colour !!!!
If its a black colour at the top n is wider then its a dohc n if its says vtec then its prolly a dohc vtec, so a b16 probably.

it should say it on the plate shouldn't it. the one in the engine bay??

^^^ yes teher should be a plate on top of the radiator/bumper when u open the bonnet sayin if its a DC4 or DC2

yeah it should just where d radiator is- unless someone done conversions on it !

yeah d16y8 is sohc vtec, not dohc vtec :)

yeah it's sohc. just confirming because i wasn't sure. it doesn't say vtec on rocker cover, it has "honda" written on it. thanks everyone. please close thread mods.

only the D16Y1 had the VTEC written on the rocker cover. and maybe the D15vtec aswell... not too sure. hehe
