Hey, i just bought this brembo kit, comes with adapter brackets, braided lines and 330mm discs, plan on installing on the weekend, they were originally off a EG civic, then put on a DC2 teg, will these just bolt up or will i need to make some modifications to them to fit my DA 1990 teg, will i have any unexpected problems with installing and drivability, later http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p203/TEGNO1/partsbrembo.jpg

As I was recently told (I was enquiring about exactly the same thing), you are going to have issues bolting them up and it is basically not worth the hassle. The upright/hub/knuckle etc is completely different between the da and dc2, but goodluck with the project. Depending on what master cylinder you currently have, you will probably need to upgrade that.

Thanks i'll look out for that, can you be more specific as to what they told you, and was it a brake place, where is the knuckle, i'll have a look at some manuals, and try and pinpoint where the differences are if i can, thanks again.

Ok now i know about the knuckle, but i still dont know how they are different,i paid $1500 aud bargain, here is a seller in the US who sells brake kits including Brembo's and they seem to be using the same part no. for all 4 stud tegs,http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/sale/performance/Brakes, i bought the kit from one of the other forums dont know what car he owned, but he shipped me the brake kit and an lsd box from Melbourne, nice guy too, anyway it looks like i'll have attempt to fit these blind, i'll soon know if DC2 tegs and EG civic brakes fit into DA's, later.

If you do not have extensive experience in brakes and the affair is not a boltup job then i would seriously recommend you to visit a brake specialist. This is one of the most important parts of your car and IMO not worth skimping on.

Of course if it bolts on and all then great, but i have a slight feeling that you might need some custom work. Good luck

I would expect the up-right on the DA to be the same, as I believe the Teg front rotors (and calipers) did not change size from Da to Dc (= EG civic).

Definately upgrade master cylinder and a suitable proportioning valve is also a must.

Goodluck!

Hi this is the brembo's on my DA.http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p203/TEGNO1/Picture001.jpg?t=1163853841as you can see they do go on as far as caliper mounting brackets go, however they dont fit perfectly, i am going to machine the caliper mounting bracket a few mm, cause i need to bring the caliper further inside the disc, and about 2mm off the centre of the aluminium hat cause the diameter of the standard discs is larger, other than that its all good, no clearance problems with the 330mm discs or big calipers, will take more pics when fully completed, later and thanks for the input.

Hi i got the caliper brackets machined for $295, Here are a few pictures of the brakes ready to be put on the car. As you can see the calipers are centred and sit further over the Disk. This is what i have learned, EG civics have a 61mm centre hole diameter, where all integras 1989-2000 had a 64mm centre hole diameter, so the centre of the discs had to be machined out by 3mm with a taper to fit over the hub as well as machining of the bracket to centre the calipers and bring them closer to the disc. Thanks to Race Brakes in Wetherall Park.....Highly recommended, Later.

Hi i do feel alot better now with the bigger brake setup, i remember when i was full throttle top of third and the car just didnt want to pull up and the road was ending soon...pretty scary that was with less power than im hoping to achieve now, it was worth it for me cause i got the kit complete and was pretty easy to modify, however i would not suggest anyone spend $2000 on a front brake setup(maybe more) alone when the honda setup is good enough for most applications. If i could start again i would do it all over again lots of bling and comes with the bonus of stopping quicker, i'll post the results of my integra 1'inch master cylinder and booster install, (hopefully they go on) and 11inch rear disc install. Its definately worth the effort for me but to everyone else i guess its just a $5000 integra,i will let you know how it brakes when i get my car on the road too, thanks for the comments and point too i appreciate it,later.

Have you done much research into the master cylinder? I would have thought that a 1" might be a bit to small considering how much larger the front is as well as the rear is going to be.

nice setup, whats the minimum size rim you need to clear these, reason i ask is i'm getting some Mugen rims, 16" jobbies and would like a set of Brembo's for up front, would ITR brackets or VTIR Lude brackets hold them or do i have to get custom brackets machined up?

Hi the 1 inch master cylinder is the biggest one i could find out of a honda, and am hoping will provide enough to push those pistons and im not sure if you can go any other way. My setup needs minimum 17 inch wheels, you could get the calipers on there with 16's but youd have to go a smaller rotor like 300mm instead of 330mm, your standard calipers dont have a caliper mount they mount directly to the hub, so you would need to get custom brackets made, which wouldnt be cheap, later.

Hi thanks for the feedback, and the model i dont know but i know the important thing to look for is that there are 2 types of mounting positions on calipers they axial mount and radial mount, cant remember which ones mine are but the mounting setup on my setup is what you need to make the conversion easier, and pads are $160-$500+ depends, later.
