Hi everyone.

How many kilometres did you travel with you Euro before you have to replace your tyres?

Is that right that the stock tyre for luxury model (with 17 inch alloy) will last a lot quicker? How many km will it last?

What about the Euro standard? How long will the tyres last?

Is it possible to get to 60,000 - 70,000 km before having to replace the tyres?

Thanks.

Rotate all your 5 tires and do alignment and balancing regularly and you should be able to get 70K~80 from them.... If you drive average about 20k+ a year.... else replace them after 3 years, as rubbers get hard and grip performance drops. However if you drive slowly, always follow below the 60kmh limit, can keep longer....

Forgot to mention, this also depends on your tire used, certain tires like Falken Azenis ST115 can only last about 20~30K

I think that is very possible to get 60k kms + out of the original tyres. With all the reasons as stated above.

Depends on the tyre brand, type, compound, driving style. Can be anything from 15-50,000ks.

Thanks for the reminder DLO01.
What I mean is the stock tyre (Bridgestone Potenza RE040 for luxury and Dunlop for Euro standard). Dunno the type for the standard.

For info about my driving style:
I mostly drive in the city. Speed around 60-90 km most of the time. But, I accelerate and brake gently. I manage good petrol consumption with this driving style (around 7.4 lt/100 km). My current civic has almost 51K and the tyres have about 45-50% treads left.

The reason why I ask is because some people say that the stock tyres don't last very long (need to be replaced around 20-30K).

I want to check this with you guys, Euro owners whether what I heard is true or not.

Thanks.

if u r referring to the bridgestone re040, i think probably 20k km.
my car has done about 9k km, and the front is about has about 4mm or so left. compared to the rear, which is visibly deeper.

the re040 wears fast.

i work at a dealer so we obviously get alot of cars coming thru needing tyres.

generally the 'average' would be 40-70k, obviously there are exceptions with more or less. it varies alot from with driving style and tyre maintenance (rotations/balances etc)

I got 20K out of my 16" OEM Dunlops, not happy but I do have a "tyre wearing" driving style so I gotta slow down for those corners I suppose ;).

Keep of the freeways, the faster your going the quicker ur tyres wear, even if you going straigh. Dude at Bob Jane reckons

doesn't sound right, I used to do lots of highway driving (up to 70% on freeway) and my Potenzas RE711 (quite some time ago) lasted 75,000km, probably could have got another 5,000km out of em...

I think taking corners fast and doing jack rabbit starts wear tyres out faster.

start-stop type of city driving and hard drivings are the tyre killers.
relaxed highway cruising is actually, quite easy on the tires.

I think also depends on the roads... certain part of the hw use cement blocks which is bad for the tires. Normal tar road is okay.

I have a 2003 Euro and I got 60,000ks out of the original Dunlops.
Then 20,000k out of useless Yokohamas. (not happy)
I now have Pirelli Dragon and they are lasting well.
I think the longevity of a tyre depends on softness of it.
90% of my driving is on CONCRETE highway at 120kph:)

Can't complain with that.

We got 60 000km's out of the original Bridgestone tyres on the Crv.
