DVD Player and LCD Screen Civic 06'

Has any one here installed a DVD player and LCD screen into an 06' civic?

DOes anyone know whether it is possible to even put an LCD screen in the dash?

it is possible, but u need order 2 din dash panel from other place not Aus, Honda got OEM panel for our civic, but u need to order from other place~

but if its from the us than it wont fit right? because the us is left hand drive

im pretty sure u can get it from honda dealer in indo, because the double din console comes in std in indo, not sure how to ship it here though

In that pic you can see the car has steering wheel audio control- I wonder if it worked with the aftermarket HU.

as i know, u have do some extra work to make them work after u fit the aftermarket HU. that will be some pro job to be done, mate

i went to a couple of custom car audio places and they told me it would be very hard to fit a double din screen in and if u really and it it would cost heaps due to custom mount and heaps of custom works.

im goin to singapore and indo in jan. and be hoping to bring back a few facial its for the civic so hopefully wat u said about singapore and indo having the double din facial kit is right casue im excited about it.

I'm going to Singapore on Saturday to look for Civic parts- i'll let you guys know if I find anything as well. GOt a few shops been told to look out for.

With regards to the LCD instead of airbag- isn't it illegal in Australia to modify/remove the airbags? Read it somewhere...

yes it is illegal to remove any of the airbags from a car. It will make the car unroadworthy! In QLD anyway! :)

Have you also considered putting it inside the glovebox? I've seen pics in magazines of people who have installed popup LCDs screens into the glovebox- thus retaining airbag.

Jace, I'd be very interested to see what you can find in Singapore in regards to the custom dash. Do let us know what you manage to find there and how much. Ive asked around in Malaysia and i havent been able to find anything yet.

i think its a honda oem part for factory sat nav. the us has it as well. unfortunately thats only for LHD

...................replacing/removing the airbag is illegal. As for the screens, as long as there are no sceens in front of the driver that is working...then it is legal. I'm not sure if it's dependant on the different states.

Finally managed to get an actual picture of what im looking for. I know I can get these for RM900 in Malaysia, but has anyone here come across it here in Sydney? Cos i think it would be too expensive to ship/mail this all the way from Malaysia.

at least now have over 3 ppls interest of it, i think it would be come true if someone can bring them in Aus

PS: Should complain local honda about it, why not provide such OEM stuff for us, but i think if they have some, they won't cheap for sure~
