In August 06 I bought a Euro Sport.

I have recently noticed other "Euro Sports" on the road are labelled "Sport" in the rear of the car.
Are there two model sports or is the label on the back 3rd party?

Just interested.

Only one model. The stickers are just that - stickers. I guess they can be removed by the dealer before delivery if the customer doens't like it.

As Cranial said, when we bought our Sport the dealer gave us the Sport sticker. It was up to us to fit it or not.

Since it added 5kW @ the rear, I thought why not :)

Why go sports for 5kw when Type R badges are good for 15kw, can be had for 99 cents of ebay to!

:) lol

Ive seen some sports with & without the sticker

lol. Put an Acura TSX badge on it and it increases to 160kw :p

Shame the Sports sticker isnt a proper 3D metalic one.. u cant see the sports sticker on black euros

It's also a shame when you don't put it on properly..oops (if you look at my avatar, you can see the sticker was put too far left..)

cgspot, it's also possible (not likely but) that the ones you saw without the stickers could have had the kit fitted aftermarket?

I would've kept it off the car IMO it looks cheap.

Nah ... a metalic sticker would have made the car heavier reducing any increase in potential kw power from its inclusion, and it would have added to the drag

Yup, I've notice some of the euro sports not having "sport" sticker. Uhmm, btw, how is the euro sport feels? it must be good yeaH?

i didn't put the 'sports' sticker up.. 'cos it keeps power down :p

dont want to loose the license too fast.

anyway, the truth is, the 'sports' stick is really an afterthought.. though the design and material looks reasonably good, (compared that to the Melbourne 2006 emblem which toyota had for their Commonwealth Games cars), so how, i just like the understated look.

Sorry clowdz, we've got a silver Sport.. The Sport only came in Silver/Red/Graphite/Blue from factory.

<-- photo was taken in direct sunlight I think, so that's why it looks white-ish. Here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53034) are some pics anyway.

Does anyone know of the replacement cost for the Sport sticker? Thinking of removing it and putting a new one on properly (or adding a Euro-R badge  haha)

Edit: Found these pics in another thread. They're of the Euro R, but the Sport has the same kit

In my opnion, the tires are way too tiny for the sport... lowering or bigger rims will make it look aswome...

else just stick to the stock std stuffs....... :P

Interestingly, the EuroR comes with 215 45 R17 tyres -- whereas the Type S/Sport/Luxury comes with 225.

(TSX runs 215 50 R17 (or did originally) -- just to be completely odd.)

My assumption would be that it's to slightly reduce torque steer and tramlining, plus they're probably stickier rubber.

OZ Superleggera's are great  but the Euro-R just uses the Lux's rims, just in a different colour. You can easily get the Lux rims spray painted/powder coated to match the Euro-R's colours but

I'm betting the Euro-R's didn't have the tramlining/tracking issue our Sport/Luxury models have :(

Just change your tyres. The EuroR and Euro Sport's subframe/suspension/rims are similar. The only difference are the tyres.

I've driven the EuroR, and it does have tramline issues as well. as for torque steer, not too sure. it wasn't my car, and wont want to trash it with the owner sitting right beside me. :p

i got my lip now, but the DEALER told me that the screws and washers do not come with the lip, ANYONE know if this is true??

EuroDude
19-12-2006, 05:38 PM
^^ No thats not true, the bolts and clips come with the OEM lip kit if you buy it new. I got my 2006 lip kit new and it came with everything I needed (except for an electric drill and drill bit).

Did you get it second hand or something?

BusterSonic12
19-12-2006, 09:03 PM
first hand. u got the euro sport kit right??? not the lux kit.
i got it new today, from a deal. and they said no screw and bolts etc. so not honda australia's going to talk to them.

use something to damp some petrol (eg. Zipo fluid .. or just normal Petrol)on to the sticker ... comes off very easy and can clean the gum with petro too...

If you were really serious about adding 'kW' to your Euro 'Sport', 'R' or whatever, why not go the full hog? :p You could pretend you have a supercharger under the hood...

Aerobonnet (carbon fibre might be lethal for any pedestrian in your way tho)...

Gotta hand it to the Japanese crowd - my bro always tells me about all the crazy stuff they get up to over there with their cars, but compared to some other countries I've been to, at least they do it properly!

He's off to Japan again in a few weeks and said he send back whatever he could carry on his scooter - doubt any of the above would be doable tho... hahahah :D
