Just wondering if this is a recommended option?

Or is it simply a temporary band aid fix?

I think my mounts might be ok but just a cheaper alternative to "solid" ones

it will be less harsh than having solid mounts....

i used sikaflex on all my mounts and it still vibrates like a b#tch lol

i used sikaflex 225 ~ make sure they are 100% clean ( used metho or something to get all grease n crap off) and it will hold up pretty decent ~ better than stock mounts.

Otherwise save up for poly inserts or proper mounts

sikaflex is gay... do it proper go the 2 part polyurethane mix and u wont be disapointed and will look cleaner too. check out the diy by blitz in the diy section.

Thanks guys
I'll have a look into it

I used sikaflex 252 for my torque mounts, these things are f uckin hard to get off your hand, took me more than 3 days to get it off completely. They reduced my wheel hop by 15% i reckon.

I can't find the DIY thread on this
Search doesn't work, keeps returning 0 results even though I put in extremely wide parameters :(

Can someone link me please?

And xterci, I once got brush on sound deadener all over my hands. Went to wash them off but just smudged it all over my hands.
Friend had to drive me around all car shops trying to get it off while I had my hands in the air and he had to open/close the door for me and put my seatbelt on/off

Now, I always have disposable gloves handy :)

I used Sikaflex 255(the windscreen sealant one) and it is tough as nails. Only did the front and rear mounts, with the 2 chassis rail mounts left rubber. No vibration and def no wheel hop ever...
