Hi boys/girls

I've been a long time reader of this forum, but first time poster. Most of my answers have already been posted. I just used the search facility so I didn't need to post.

There isn't any info on where the FITV is for the D15B4. I've looked under the throttle body but my car is completely different to the pics that have been posted before(dual carby).

Does anyone know where it is? A picture would help too. Oh and by the way, I'm a bit of a noob, but starting to learn to DIY using this site.

Thanks

For the EFI models, the FITV should be directly under the intake opening where the intake pipe attaches to the throttle body.

But I dont think the Carby engines have an FITV do they? Fast/cold Idle is controlled by the choke I think, in which case, you need to clean the carburettors with carby cleaner.
(correct me if I'm wrong)

carby engines dont have FITV, but they still have an EACV.

but there is a wax pallet valve that controlls the throttle linkage and choke butterfly

Thanks a lot.

Can the EACV be cleaned/"screwed back in" or something? I have a slight fluctuating idle, and trying to fix it. Have cleaned IACV and TB, helped a lot, but still a slight fluctuating idle

Replaced the fuel filter recently? It is down at the fuel tank(passenger side) and commonly gets neglected as they are out of sight. Poor fuel flow and the engine stutters.

Ok, looks like I found the real location of the EACV in the pic from http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45856&highlight=EACV (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45856&highlight=EACV)

and it was also from ECU-MAN replies, Can someone confirm that the picture is referring to the wax pallet valve ? how do u take it out/how to clean it ?

thanks

the picture in this thread is the wax pallet valve that controls the choke linkage

Is it recommended to clean for idling issues ? how to remove it and how to clean ?

thanks

you undo the cooling lines from it and make sure that coolant can flow through it freely, I use compressed air to clean them. be carefull with compressed air, make sure you wear safty glasses.

Those hoses on top of it are not coolant lines though, they are air lines from airfilter to bypass the carbies.
