Hi guys,

When i start my car it seems like there's a short pause before it kicks over after cranking it, and then it seems to shudder and shake momentarily.

its gets better after a few seconds but u can still feel it shudder sometimes and its not a smooth idle,

there's also a constant light popping sound that seems to come from the exhaust noticable in idle

what causes this??

would replacing my fuel filter fix this?

could possibly be ~ due to fuel starvation at start maybe ? OR spark plugs / leaqds might be old worn and in need of replacement.
Try replacing yourself the above ~ and see if that helps out :)

if the car's done a few kms, might pay to have the injectors cleaned

Possible to check leads conductivity with multimeter. You want to set your multimeter to measure resistance. I can't remember what the desired resistance is though. The specs and instructions are in the service manual.

Do you mean to put in some sort of fluid that cleans the injectors or do u mean manually take them out and clean them??... sorry if its a dumb question hehe

he means to have them taken out a professionally serviced

Its a bit of a detailed process, they do take the injectors out of the head, pull them apart and jet clean them. Before they are put back in all the seals are replaced, and they are flow tested to ensure they are up to spec

honda will rip you a new arsehole in terms of pricing to have this done

also, to keep them cleaner for longer after they have been serviced, id keep running quality fuel, and run some additive once in a while

ok well should i try changing the spark plugs first and see how it goes?

as far as my car starting problem goes... like benjammin said, it seems like the car's momentarily starved of fuel before it kicks over... what could cause this?

doesnt hurt mate

especially if you havent changed them for a while, easy cheap way to tick the boxes to see what the probleem is
