48 offset seems alright, 43 offset seems a bit too much though.

If the PCD is 5x114.3 then it will fit.

Yes they are pcd 114.3. Rays does not make 19-8.5 with offset 48, they only have offset 43

Anyway, 43 should be more in that 48 right?

Do you really need a wider rim on the rear? Why not fit 19x8's on all four corners?

8" +42 is at the fender. 8.5"+43 would be out of the fender.

You'll get understeer by using wider rear tyres too.

Go 8" +48 all round.

The shop called rays and they recommend to use either all 8 or 8.5, but i have seen some euro is fitted with different width on the rear, and they look better. Beside understeer do you know any other problem i might have by having different width?

If you current rims are only 7" wide, it would also void your insurance as the width of the rear rims would be more than 1" wider than stock. Therefore, if you have an accident, no insurance coverage...

19"x8" would seriously be my choice!

BTW, what tyre sizes do you want to use?

NSW states that the overall track cannot be larger than 25mm from stock (means you can use higher offset to fit in wider tyres as long as you don't scrub your suspension). Rims can be up to 1 inch wider without engineering or 2 inch wider with engineering.

Edit: VIC same as NSW. I read the document wrongly.

VIC states that your tyre at most can be 15mm wider than stock. So you're stuck with a max of 230 width tyres. Rim width can be up to 25mm wider. (weird isn't it?)

The 15mm rule actually refers to the rolling diameter of the rim. You can legally fit as wide a tyre as possible BUT fitting a wide tyre and keeping the rolling diameter within 15mm larger than stock is the problem...

LOL, you're right. I read it wrongly. So the rule is the same as NSW.

Thanks for your input guys very great help, finally order 19.8 for both front and rear.

Tyre size might be going for 225/35. Any one can recommend what reasonabe good 19" wheel and how much do they cost?

Anyone use federal? Are they good?

I would go for Yoko Advan Sport V103. Not cheap for 19", but they grip good in the dry and wet.

Dunlop doesn't have anything in 225/35 R19.

Hankook K104 Ventus Sports are excellent tyres for lots of grip, K107 would be more of the luxury tyre
