Okay, so im deciding weather to buy a turbo timer.. But few noob issues have come to my head. One being;

- What are the main differences between an imitation/no name turbo timer n a genuine turbo timer? besides the fact of its quality and its features/options

- Also will this interfere with my alarm system? If so who is liable to installing it? As im worried it might void my warranty

thanks :thumbsup:

no reason for one... drive easy the last bit of your journey, always use synthetic, and you'll be fine...

this is a better course of action anyway, as it'll allow other parts of the car to cool down as needed if you've been driving hard.

yes, I know... that's why I said what I said...

the purpose of a turbo timer is to allow engine to keep running so the oil can keep circulating while it cools. If you're driving so hard right before stopping that the oil is that hot, there are other components that should be cooled off too before stopping that a turbo timer won't help. Don't drive like a moron, and there's no need for a turbo timer.

has a lot more to do with how you've been driving. If you've been boosting hard, you need to let it cool off a lot more. If you've just been cruising, it's fine. Again I say, just drive easy for the last few miles of your journey, and you'll be perfectly fine.

Length of time does not come in to consideration, as mentioned, its the way you have driven. If you have just been cruising around the streets, just turn it off straight away. :thumbsup:

turbo timers just make a theifs job simple.

No need to run one at all. On the greddy turbo, just let idle for a min or 2 after a hard run, or just dont boost 5mins before u plan on turning the car off.

If u have just done a hard run through the nationpark park, and ur turbo is glowing red hot, i advise not to turn the car off :)
