Just wondering what the little t-piece on the vac tubes that are connected to the map sensor is for? The one that has the little tube with a stopper in it. Is it just to try and average out small pressure changes a bit?

I ask because while fiddling around with stuff back there the t-piece snapped and I've just got it hooked up directly.

The stopper is to prevent the little green men from escaping.

I'm not worried about why it is blocked off. I'll try and do a ascii diagram.

M is for map sensor. The second one is what it is like now. I'm not so worried. More just interested as to why it has that little bit of pipe hanging off the T that is just blocked off? Because it seems to be working fine. Thanks for the responses.

Is it just for hooking up test equipment or something?

edit: ergh. dosn't let me put in preceeding spaces. imagine M going into T in first thing.

could be for anything,

if you have just pluged it into the MAP you will be fine

dotn bother with it now.
