I bought a 2005 Type S Integra from Peter Warren and it has been back to get warranty work 19 times? Any one else having issue?

Here is the list:

Faulty steering rack
Faulty Front suspension
All rear lights changed
new rear bumper
Bonnet re-sprayed after a paint defect detected on the bonnet
glove box lock fitted at factory from different model!
Clutch master Cylinder
Lower Sub assembly not skewed from factory
Window relay

Currently there is a gearbox Whine!!!!! which may require a new gear box.

The best bit about this is while these issues where getting rectified the service agent Scotts Honda Damaged the front Passenger seat, Tint on the front windows and scratched the front guard. Have they heard of duty of care?

I have owned for over 10 years and our family for over 20 years including every series of Integra have never encounter this kind of problem(s). Are new Honda's crap?

Luck of the draw I say,
90% of all new Honda buyers are content and happy with their purchases.
You might have been in the unlucky 10% that purchased a dud.
It does happen occasionally in huge production lines...nothings perfect.

WOW that's just F'd up yo!

Should ask them for a free service, for wasting your time & buying a faulty DC5s.

If that is the case why does Honda Australia and there dealers ignore there is a problem? 10 % is a lot of cars with issues. A friend of mine who had a toyota had a faulty Air-con (compressor) they gave her a new car and apologised for the inconvenience, Does Honda? the answer is no. Honda Australia and Peter Warren think that after you pay the money you are on your own. I have the 5 year extended warranty which i regret. It gives Honda Australia 5 years to fix the car not 3 ... A Quote from Mark Still from Honda "We have 5 years to fix this car" ...

I thought so too, But thats not the case. Honda Australia are not making the matter any better. Every honda we have had were brilliant. Till this shit box and my wife's 2004 Euro which had issues too. But i will say the Euro is better and it only had one 2 minor issues. The Euro kills the type S in build quality and finish hand's down.

Did you by it new or second hand?
It could of been a smashed-up quick repair job even if it's new!
Could explain all the issues above!
Have to admit my TYPE S has been great, far better than the Mazda6 that we own as well.
Unfortunately sometimes it’s luck of the draw, which it just shouldn’t be with a Honda.

Is it 2nd hand? Could be the car is trashed around or worst crashed, so the owner sold it or traded it in....

How can a car be brand new from factory, and done 16,000?!
16k old and brand new in its true terminology, are 2 completely differnet things!

Bring it up with Honda H/O in Tullamarine - we had another DC5S owner here who had major issues that Honda assisted with.

Honda Australia is fixing the car but thats not the point. 19 times this car has been in for warranty repairs and i am tired of it. I have contacted Honda Japan and will be meeting with them in April. the car will be hopefully sold by then. They are disappointed with honda australia but cannot get involved as they are a regional Office (Blah blah).

Honda Japan don't know how my car got fitted with a lock from a 89 civic? Lots little but frustrating problems especially when the dealer damages my car while they are fixing it. (3 times they F%^ked my Car)

Surely thats gross incompetence from the Service centre you are dealing with.

Have you spoken to consumer affairs regarding this?

Yes i have had a hearing at the CTTT last week. they ordered a fix as most of the issues are fixed. there are 5 issues to be rectified so they have given honda till mid december to fix them .. Honda australia to me are making me hate the brand. thats sad as we are a (was) Honda family for 20 years. Australian Law for Automobiles is flawed ... see if you buy a TV or Anything consumer your protected buy a Statuary Warranty which says if the product doesn't perform to the expectation that you were sold on ie damaged / Faulty you can get a new product exchanged .. with cars that is not the case .. you have no right to get an exchange

My lower subassembly was out of alignment too ... Honda Australia said thats not structural . Hmmm if thats not structural what is?

do see how u feel man,,, HRC05..... pay that much for a new S and followed with all these problems. 19 times back to the dealer simply says that car shouldnt pass the Quality test.

well... however they have a point (even is doggy and crappy when u hear it) is that the car is covered by a fxxen 5 yrs warranty. So they would happy to fix as many time as you like.

If theres anything i would suggest is that... sell the dame thing to a dealer or something... get urself a hot bath and forget abt the last painful 12 months. Then Get urself a EVO IX.!!!!

cheers.. hope it works out.
