The DC5R comes with 220hp Ryt.

nah more like 200ish... 197 acording to Fast fours mag. Thats at the fly too.

I heard James (BLKCRX) was making huge gains on the JDM DC5... I'll post up the link in a second. That was using a hondata chip and i think stock other than the chip.

heres the link with all the power ratings at the wheels...

edit... I'm an idiot

PS I think your power would be similar to the JDM... in that case james tuning on JDM DC5 would be enough to get you to 270fly hp Roughly (after some croude maths) so that tuned with CAI and full exhaust would surly be easily up to 280fly hp.

australian delivered dc5r has 147kw at the fly = around 100kw at the wheels
jdm has more
to get it up to 280hp at the fly would require all the bolt on parts you can get...
intake/exahust/header/ecu/cams
with these, you might be around that figure

looking at how much james got out of the JDM DC5R it would seem pretty easy :P

still no prices on the k-pro tho....

price would be the major deciding factor in this. Looks like a fair bit of work is still to be done on the K-Pro in regards to compatability issues before it is released to the General public. I'm guessing that after all the R&D that goes into this, and the complexity to convert non-compatable ECUs to work with K Pro, there would be a hefty price tag for it.

Not to be dissing Hondata or anything :p

price won't be 2 high ;-) but the aust DC5 once i tune them. i get 35% more power out of them.. now thats a HUGEEE difference.. thats like running 5psi turbo boost !!

ehehhehehe

DC5R, K&N Typhoon SRI and Buddyclub Spec III.

I have done this on two absolutely different dyno's.

120.4 kw at the wheels is around 160 hp which is pretty good for near stock.
Even that you have some minor mods the DC5R makes around 160 hp.
