Hi all,

I'm stumped, as to how to put the antenna in. Bascially there is this long plastic nylon attachment with teeth at the end of the antenna and when i try to thread it through the top, it stops less than 1/3 of the way down. Tried connecting it straight into the end attachment, and it does not thread through here either.

Heere is a picture to describe what I'm talking about..

okay.
get someone to sit in the car.
put the plastic teethed part down the hole.
, then tell them to turn off the radio, so that motor goes on reverse, normally the antenna goes down.
straight away when the motor starts to turn, feed the antenna down so the gears grab it and it will pull it down by itself.

When you are inserting the mast, make sure that the 'teeth' are facing the right way. Try both teeth facing straight ahead, and straight backwards. Otherwise they will not link in with the teeth on the cogs. I can take a picture if you'd like, of the inside of the unit I just removed.

Sometimes it take a bit of extra force to get it all the way down, too. Try a bit more muscle.

Edit: And you should only be putting it in through the top of the antenna. i.e. through the outside of the car.

Yes I have an aftermarket radio. I've been following installdr for the wiring diagram. So far everything is accurate as far as i know. Just to double check,
issit the brown with white stripe wire?

no it hasn't ever worked. I assumed it was the motor, but maybe its just simply the wrong wire i'm connecting it to

Stanleym, yes most aftermarket ones are blue / blue white i'm talking about the original honda wiring from the mating end

well there's only a certain amount of wires left.
see if you can see which wires matches up to it in the rear where the power goes.
