I am still learning about cars, and reading about all the fancy parts you can buy to make them go faster :P

What i would like to do first is upgrade the tires and rims followed by brakes, I was reading the "New to modifying your car" sticky and didn't realize there is so much to take into account.

So my question to you juicy brained friends is this. If i were to do anything to the engine to get more go what would it be and in what order should i do it?

I don't want to end up going out and getting something done and finding out that it was only %50 effective because another part is stock. :P

Anything you suggest will give me something to read up on.

Thanks

Wow, where do you start with a question like this.

Check out how stuff works. Learn about a combustion engine, how it works and you will begin to be able to figure out how modifying exhausts/intakes, adding turbos, changing internals may increase or decrease power.

There are many factors you have to take into account when modifying cars. How big do you want to go, what are your long term plans etc etc.

Make sure you search a lot here on Ozhonda.

My advice to you is look up the word 'Intake' and 'Exhaust' and do some reading as to how they can benefit the performance of you EJ8.

Good luck.

I Guess I wasn't being very specific, which would have helped.

I understand the basics of how an engine works, and how the flow of air and exhaust can effect the performance. Well i know as much as one can from reading about it.

I really need to know more about the finer details. Is there anything you can recommend that goes more in depth then how stuff works?
