if you can somehow get in contact with jackosimm (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/member.php?u=1974), he did it with his old civic

PS2's are somethin like 50W,so u prob find yourself lookin at 100-150W inverters,or thats the smallest ive seen anyway.

The more u spend on the inverter the less hassles u will have with noise on the video signals.Try to get something that gives the cleanest sine wave or guarantees low noise emissions.

Its hard to change the video cables for better ones cos of the proprietary sony plug,so go to all lengths to keep the video cables seperate from the supply cables from the inverter.

yes. get a quality inverter, if you don't you'll get a shit video signal and may get some noise.
i've done it before.. in a eg, used a slimline one. fitted that and a controller in the glove box.
easy as to do.

if you have the slimline ps2 you can buy a strait 12v pulg for it, if you look at your ps2 it only needs 8.5v to run. i picked mine up from JB hifi.

SKREMN used to have a glovebox setup is his da9.

What I would do is a glovebox mount, but bolt it to the roof instead of the floor. This way things won't fall behind it/in front of it, scratch the top etc

I would also see if you can pull out the glovebox like in our DA's and see if there's space behind to fit an inverter. Near the blower. Or as mentioned before fork out for the 12v line.

will lookn into the 12v line seems like a more simple alteranative :)

thanks

Spoke to a fella at JB hifi today and he reckons i should buy a 300 watt inverter instead of the 150 watt one he reckons the 150's just dont cut it. I'm mounting mine under the passenger seat with ps2 in glovebox.

ps. can someone give me trade rating point.

cheers

dont bother with the inverter unless u have the chunky ps2

if u got the slimline the bloke at jbhifi should have told u about the one that plugs into the cig lighter

i just bought mine and have wired it to a hardline and fused it etcwork mad man

do you reckon it would be the same for xbox, cause i have xbox at moment and i'm not sure weather to buy a ps2 for car or get new xbox 360 for home and put xbox in car.

i reckon the converter that makes it 12v would be the same but u would need to get the right plug and make a chancge to the wiring

hey mate,

i have the slimline ps2 setup in my car and i first bought a cheap inverter from jb hifi and got heaps of noise interfiernce, then i bought a "powertech 150w pure sine wave inverter" from jaycar electronics and they are around $230.

so yeah save urself the trouble and just buy the better inverter and i think u can order them off the net @ http://www.jaycar.com.au/productResults.asp?FORM=CAT

just under product browser select inverters and its the first 1st at the top of the page.

hope this helps

matt.
