View Full Version : Bushes
I noticed there is a very strong creaking sound coming from the rear left wheel, not only does it creak but it sounds like there is rubber rubbing against something. It comes on and off occasionally. Is it because the bushes have gone? Usually how often do you change the bushes?
Another thing is everytime i go at high speed and brake hard, i can feel the rear left side is swaying almost like fish tailing also if i take a corner hard, it feels like it will over steer.

It actually soudns like your trailing arm or lower control arm is loose....
Might want to check that out.
As for bushes. generally if its squeeking lube them up, if its creaking/groaning you need to tighten something up.
Generally if it's loose, just a tighten up job will do the job or you have to change the whole thing? The car i bought came with an adjustable coil overs by K.Y.B. How long do these things last? What are the indications that the coilovers have to be changed soon? I was so excited over the car i bought just that these minor things are giving me the creeps...!

If they're loose you just need to tighten up the bolts providing you haven't bent anything while they've been loose.
As for the coilovers, have you noticed a big change in the performance of the car?? ie. excessive body roll?? Bottoming out easily?? etc. If so, then they need to be rebuilt/replaced.
doubt it's bent or antyhing guess the only way i know is to bring it to a mechanic and he can tell me. Whats bottoming out?
As far as I know, the coilovers still feels alright but not that confident in tackling a corner hard cause afraid it might loose traction at the back. Infact it once did when i did a 90 deg turn hard

is this problem with your jazz??
Tighten it all up before you go to the next stage.
nah... it's an ef9 mate... got it second hand but still need some work on the sussys and abit on the driveline. THe driveline is abit out of tune as well...
I was trying out the coilovers to see how hard they can go. Don't even know how long those KYBs have been there....

Change your tranny fluid as well.. You'll be surprised how often that'll fix your tranny problems.
Yeah will change everything from bushess to wheel alignment to changing motor oil to tranny oil checking compression and brake fluid....
