Well ive just noticed this yesterday.
When ever i accelerate or do anything from a stop. I hear this creak coming from the front left.
I got a friend to stand out side n he said it was coming from my from left wheel.
I thought it was because it was cold about 14 degrees, but it was fairly hot today n it was still creaking.
Car is completely stock, no suspension mods what so ever. Has anyone come across this problem?

I had the same problem, especially whenever I went over speed bump. Sound came from front suspension too.

C&P fixed it:

They lubbed and tightened the suspension.
Fixed the rear parcel tray/seatbelt mount that was loose.
They put padding into front left door.

That was the report I got but the noise is gone.

Hope that helps.

If it's stock take it back to dealer.I'm sure they'll be able to sort it out.

Yep if its still under warranty then take it to the dealers. Otherwise if its not warranty, you can try spraying Lithium Grease on the sussy joints and bushes

is it a "click" kind of noise, like something is snapping in and out of place?

because i posted the exact same problem a week ago and it was coming from the front left aswell... previously, the same noise was coming from the rear right and it was the parcel tray problem that alot of people seem to have

i get it when i turn left at > 40km/hr and also when i am coming out of my driveway.. i hope this is common and an easy fix.

If it sounds like it is coming from the roof or the rear, then do the parcel shelf fix.

nah its not that kind of sound. Its like when a fat guy walks across wooden floor boards.
like a creaking, but it's coming from the front left.

HAHA Great explination man!!

I reckon you need to lube up some suspension bushes. Give that a go.

keep us updated on how it goes, and what they diagnose it as.

it seems to happen for me when i turn the wheel alot and the car is at a specific angle, i.e. coming out of driveway or turning left down a ramp.

It really does sound like chassis flex. Same conditions trigger the parcel shelf creak.

nah nah.. its not chassis flex. The sound doesnt come from the parcel shelf. It comes from the front. I was mucking around with it, and i tried stopping hard and cause the car to dive a little. and it'd creak, and when taking off aswell.
I also hear the creaking when i go up into my driveway aswell.

It should be suspension, just needs some KY Jelly.. lol.

lol xiang, maybe we have different problems.. i think mine is chassis flex as i've had the parcel shelf problem before and this sounds very similar only its coming from the front and not the back.

I reckon it is chassis flex and something is creaking at the front. Since you have stock suspension, I doubt that it is the springs that are creaking.

ive booked the car in to get that front right suspension checked...the power steering itself has a minor high pitch squeeling sound when i turn it left or right...so not sure about that..

Just recently I have also noticed a creaking sound originating from the front passenger side. This happens when driving in or backing out from my driveway. I am usually making quite a sharp turn as I drive up/ back out from my driveway which is only slightly inclined, it's not steep by any means.

Any ideas where the creaking might be coming from?

From chassis flex

From chassis flex

So it this just a characteristic of the car or is it a fixable issue?

The Euro has built in crumple zones. The crumple zones can flex when you go over uneven driveway, especially if you have stiffer suspension or swaybars. I guess if you take away the crumple zones...............

My car is dead stock. My ears have been finely tuned since the day I brought it to detect rattles etc and I am 100% certain that creaking noise never existed until just recently.

My car was in a minor front on accident at the beginning of the year so I just want to make sure it is nothing repair related.

I would imagine my 2008 Civic has these same crumple zones but there is no creaking coming from that car.
