I got KONI Yellows from Trav (egSI)

I've got Eibach Prokit springs + KONI Yellow shocks on my car. The Eibach's lowers the car approx. 30-40mm (not sure but leaves about 2 finger gap, stock being about 4 finger or so gap!). The KONI's are height adjustable (0.5" +/- from current height, or remain the same) and damper adjustable too (soft to stiffer setting).

I am quite happy with them.

Doesn't sound right as lots of the yanks have the Koni yellows fitted for the CL9. I thought Perth_Euro has them too? You could be confusing Koni asking them about "Accord Euro" - see whether saying Honda CL9 or Acura TSX helps.

Note - I have edited the title of your thread - we try to encourage people to put in some subject. It allows people to decide whether to open the thread or not. Cheers

KONI Yellow shocks are available for the Euro i sell them and had in the past, as said it can be a very nice setup for street with eibachs/kings.

or go another route and try a set of Ksport Kontrol CL9 Coilovers  (http://undergroundimports.com.au/ecommerce/os/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=56&products_id=434)

1300 brand new? sounds sweet!!! as long as the ride itself is decent..obviously anytime you change shocks and springs you wont have the same as before...

have a look at the reply i got from bilsten

The 4 Bilstein shocks for the Euro retail for $1160 + fitting. There isn't a Bilstein coilover kit available yet, if made available it will be between the $3000 and $4000 depending on features.
For an additional $100 the existing Bilstein dampers can be machined for height adjustment in increments of 10mm. For example using an Eibach spring kit ($600) the car can be lowered 30mm. The machining can lower a further 20mm.
The Bilstein units available can actually be made up into coilovers if necessary at a later date.

Pretty pricey im just going to buy coilovers i think that is the cheapest and best choice

I believe the bilstein choice will allow you to keep a comfortable ride compare to coilovers, this maybe something you want to keep in mind.

Will the kings spring kill the stock shocks?

I believe any after market spring will wear the stock shocks out. But the lower the aftermarket shock the faster the wear. There not designed to take lowered springs.

Yeah i understand that, but it sounds like the Kings spring will kill the stock shocks very quick

I agree.I've got the bilstein, eibach combo. The ride is good, its in keeping with what the car is,a luxury sedan. Its an almost stock ride for the 1st.20% of travel, then the harder u push it the more it firms up.I'd think twice about coilovers.Just my opinion.

Very true it does have alot to do with the coliovers you choose plus the height you adjust it to.

I think Timbo only had kings springs.

Anyway, here are the Koni's:
http://www.modacar.com/products/Acura/TSX/MODASHS/shocks.html

The shocks blowing out is a very common problem with the Yanks that just change springs.

The ones I have found close to stock from reading the Yanky forums are:

Acura A-spec's
Tanabe sustec S-OC's
Tein SS

I am sure there is more for the list. There are people here with these coilovers too, so maybe they might want to comment?

You can have low with improved ride quality if you choose correctly.....

Tein Flex on the softest damper setting, feels so much like stock even when lowered.

_CiVIC_
11-12-2006, 04:37 PM
but it obviously depends on what your lowering...

do you have your stock wheels or larger aftermarket ones?

i'm still deciding whether i should lower mine on the 19s or not... because i have a feeling once lowered it will be a pain in the a$$!!! the profile of the tyres don't allow enough cushioning from the impact of the road.. :thumbdwn:
