Yesterday I picked up my new DC2R! I finally own my dream car... actually like the JDM headlights better, but hey, I'll get over it! Only mods were slotted front discs and aftermarket sound system, otherwise, she was pretty clean.

Just wanted to share the joy!

I didn't really care if it had a sunroof or not. I dunno why, must just be me afraid of increased risk of rust or something. But the sunroof is kind of a cool bonus.

Thanks for the comments. Can't wait to get her out of the suburbs later.

The red recaros are pretty swish; great highlight and all, but I've always wanted all black anyway.

Re plans for the new teg... umm... nothing yet. Initially it was about I/H/E, bling bling rims and a killer kit. But I don't want to play around with the engine just yet, I kind of like the stock rims; it suits the racing image of the car, and I'm a boring old fan of simplicity, so I'm not looking at kits right now either!

I think for now, I'll just enjoy the driving experience...

Yeah, they're aftermarket. Just got lucky I guess.

I took my young cousin out for a drive in the DC2R and she said to me after the VTEC kicked in: Damn! Your car is a beast!

I was never prouder! :)

you sounds just like me:)
i think it looks awesome stock, could do with a slight drop but im very very happy with the look of the car.

go jdm if you going to mod not bling. bling just doesnt suit a dc2r at all:thumbdwn:.

keep enjoying the beast and join www.clubitr.com.au

The other day for the first time, I thought I'd do the old downshift as the freeway speed limit opened up. I had no real idea what kind of power increase that would lead to, since all I'd done beforehand was just upshift to accelerate from standstill.

Well, let me tell you I was not at all prepared. I swear I nearly gave myself backlash. The sudden change in note and the power... just awesome! :D

As a side note, I'm so short the back of my head banged on the hard bit where the restraints are designed to go through the Recaros. Are there any pillow-like things on market somewhere??
