Someone may move this to the noob forum, thats cool.

Am going on a 500ish km journey this weekend, just preparing a list of the stuff I am going to stash in the boot:

Premixed Coolant
Oil
Brake Fluid
Jack
Basic Socket Set
Spare Hose Clamps
Gloves to save teh hands

Thats about all i can come up with, anyone else think of useful car related stuff to have?

its always good to have a pumped up spare.... check it before you leave... :)

basically all fluids and water...
maybe a jump start kit or check the battery is fine...

that isnt very much..

all you need is a spare tyre and maybe a box of tools.. heheh

Ill be more worried about getting all the
CD's, food, drinks etc

mate i travelled 3000km and nothing wrong.

Just check your spare tyre is pumped up, bring some tools along.

i drove from syd 2 melb along the coast in 1 night... from dusk til dawn...

absolutely canning it... keep a slab of V maybe... good tunes, and watch out for police...

i got pulled over doing 120 in a 50 zone... i was driving thru a town and didnt realise the speed limit... it was late at night so im like cbf slowing down...

got let off coz i gave him the excuse that i was sleepy and wasnt paying attention and that ill have a powernap so i can make it bak 2 melb in 1 piece... sucked up heapz... lucky... he cooda got me on my ride height, seat, steering wheel, etc...

once he was out of my sight i drove just as fast back 2 melb and didnt see any cops...

check all your fluids,
all tyre pressures and look at all your tyres for nails ect
check the look of your hoses and belts for any cracks ect
fill up your washer bottle, make sure washer jets work.
make sure all your ligths and globs work including the high beems

definitely need to make sure you got some cruising music!!!! and some sunscreen...you wouldnt want to look like burnt nandos now do ya? :)
