Falken ZE326 tyres - are they any good? I am particularly interested in a quiet running tyre. A shop has recommended 205/45/16s for my '99 Civic Coupe.

Falkens are pretty average...you get them alot with all the great package deals. They do the job, but they aren't anything special.
A lot of people I know (in BMW circles anyway) say they can be terrrible in the wet after a bit of use.
You may not have heard of them, but Sumitomo tyres are a great alternative. Very aggressive tread pattern, quiet and about as cheap as the Falkens. Sumitomo tyres are more of a Jap domestic brand and are actually a part of Goodyear so don't think they are crap just cause you haven't heard of them. Might be worth checking out. I think they are better than the Falkens.

i saw the Falken ZE326 today at QucikFit..
they looked alright...nothing screamed out performance

True that that you can roughly tell the performance of a tyre by its thread pattern, but when I first saw the pattern on the Yokohama A539s, I wasn't overly impresse.........till I drove on them :)
yah i know what ya mean..
also the Michellin Pilot Sport 2...
they look like F1 tyres!!
and at $500 each!
well...i guess you can't really look at them and expect performance...
just look at Neova..
