hi, my dad drives a subaru and is currently running 215/60/R16 on his rims

i was just wondering, will there be a problem with fitting 205/55/R16 on the same rims?

is there a rule that u must have the EXACT tyre specs? coz i thought as long as the radius is the same, the sidewall and width can vary slightly?

What is the width of the wheel? 6.5 inch?

Going from 215/60 R16 to 205/55 R16 means have a smaller overall diameter of 32.5mm, which is ILLEGAL. The radius is NOT THE SAME.

The limit is that the diameter must be within 15mm of stock. 32.5mm is over twice the limit.
