EK airbag queston [Archive]

i drive an EK1. single airbag
bought a dash from a EK4. dual air bag
is it possible to to install the EK4 dash into the EK1 dash, and having both airbags work, (using the wiring harness that i already have ) ???

what ever you do don't sit in front of them when your turn the ignition on.

Don't want anything shorting out and triggering the bags.

i think you should be ok so long as you have the module for the airbag controller. I know some of the ek1s come with standard 2 airbags also, so it is not should not be dependent on the engine ecu except maybe a speed sensor?

you can swap dashes, the wiring should be their already, but instead of an pasangers inflator you will have a dummy load resistor,

im not 100% sure if the SRS ECU will allow for the extra airbag but im 90% sure it will.

you will have to do some crash testing to know for sure, but this is expensive :)
