Hi All,

Are these rims decent?

I'm getting rims, and want performance ones, but I want black with polished lip. Which don't exist in any type of lightweight Enkei/Work/BC forged Rim.

I want these black ones (http://ozzytyres.com.au/page.php?load=wheels_more&WheelType=Tuner&mag_images_id=254&mag_id=168)with polished lip.

I'll be getting 17x7 with high quality rubber on 205/45/R17.

Are they heavy?
Whats the quality like? etc

I've seen a few people on this forum with them so I thought I'd ask.

It's for a DC2 Integra (4x100 +42).

Thanks

Probably best off ringing them up and asking for a weight with the tyre on there.

Also, when you say high quality rubber what do you mean?? Semi slicks or descent all round street tyres.

Decent Street Tyres...

Later on, when I start doing couple 1/4 mile runs or track days. I'll get my hands on a set super light weight 15" racing rims with semi-slicks, but they won't be on everyday either.

But for now, I want rims that are a decent balance between bling/looks and performance. I want black with polish lip, not too set on the RS-GT's. I also saw these (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=479) from Tempe, which aren't too bad.

Shes a daily, so I don't race her or go hard in peak hour, so I can accept that they'll be heavier than lightweight rims, but I don't want the performance hit to be highly noticable.

I just rang tempe, these are 8-9KG. Which are wayy to heavy. Specially from my stock 5.8KG.

I don't want to go over 7KG.

Does anyone know of any semi-lightweight rims, with deep dish style (ie. above rims) that are gloss black with polished lip?

For 17in rim to go under 7kg is very light, you won’t find too many on the market. Even rims like TE37 or CN28, they are like 7.XX. The only rim I know which is below 7kg is the Racing Hart CP035R.

Wedsport RD-5s are lightweight wheels with black spokes, polished rim and dish. But it might not be easy to track down a set.

errrrr, where did I say I wanted race? Obviously too much porn for you

I want gloss black semi-deep dish rims with polished lip (example1 (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=479)/ example2 (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=820)) -but I don't want stupidly heavy low quality rims. I actually like those KSpeed Reverbs from tempe (TE37 lookalike but black w/ polished lip), but again, don't know the weight or quality.

The reason I started this thread is because a few people seem to have those rims on here so I thought I'd ask.

And, FYI, Tempe do have at least 1 decent rim. The starcorp racing ones here (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=378)are 5.4K for 17x7 according to wheelweights.net.
