Is anyone using this the Stinger SPV35 battery in their car?

What do you think of it?
Has it died before?
How long have you had it for?
What electrics are you running?
Where did you buy it from?

Stinger batteries are made by Energizer. Nuff said! We used them in car audio and only had a few bad ones out of thousands. So as for cast vs quality. I say go for it. I would get an optima or SVR first as I can get a higher amp'd battery for less but Stinger gives you a better terminal.

I'm using an Optima 51R at the moment, and they have died in about 1 year.

They have a design fault.

So Im looking at alternatives.

SVR, Optima, Stinger, and OEM. Those are what we use. SVR seems to be the best set we have used in a while.

Slow96GSR,

Do you know what is the Odyssey equivalent of the SPV35?

I know the Stinger is a rebadged battery, just dont know of which.

A quick note for everybody (like I was telling you the other day ctn). Just make sure the battery is large enough for the system etc.

We read a lot on forums of people's batteries dying, only to find out they have murdered them because they're way too small for the tasks they're asked to handle.:) Always make sure the battery has enough grunt to run everything.

Also make sure that the alternator is big enough to charge the system. The stock alternator will take forever to charge 3+ batteries. There are plenty of sites that can help calculate the size of alternator you need or you can ask here. If you are at a competiton you can use a big charger, but even then it can take a few hours with that.
