My mate has a 1999 cxi hatch and the headlights seem to light the top of the trees:confused:
Was wondering how to lower the beam hight. We tried turning some screw at the back but it didnt seem to do anything.

there are 2 things on the headlight you can spin on the back with a flathead screw driver in the slot. One is to adjust left and right, the other is to adjust up and down.

EG has 2 x screwdriver adjustment points - left/right and up/down.. they're geared so u might want to use a cordless electric screwdriver.. is best to do it up against a level wall.. draw a line (etc) at about 1100mm up and park your car 1m from the wall i think.. then make your lights level at that line etc.

proper aiming procedure calls for the car to be parked 7.5m from a wall on level ground. Measure the height from the ground to the center of the headlight bulb on the car. Go to the wall, and mark a horizontal line 7.5cm below the height of the headlight bulb. This will be the aiming point for the top of the beam pattern. At least according to American and European standards.
