you should hear a burringsort of like brrrrrrr or like a flat tire when you are driving.

not sore what you mean about the dead spot?

if it veers off the road go get an alignment. Honestly it should have been down before u got the car back to make sure no control arms etc are bent.

can't hear any strange noises or such...

dead spot meaning when i'm on a straight road, wheel is centre just moving it left and right a tad, no movement,

veers off ever so slightly, like when my hand is off the wheel, yeah it was all done before i got the car back...

getting new tyres this weekend, so i'll ask for the whole wheel balancing and alignment, also to check if i need any bearings..tyre place can do this right?

btw sold that EM1 yet?

i think thats just normal steering feed back and response, there is a slight play in the steering wheel...it should only be slight. Wheel bearing wont (shouldnt) affect steering performance.

The only way i know to tell a wheel bearing is going is to drive the car, i doubt the tyre place will do that for you. If you dont hear any noises like burring etc then dw about it.

EM1 still for sale, but im not plugging it cos i have been super busy and dont have time for the buyers and to get some minor things fixed up... no one wants to buy it...cos now it needs a new left rear wheel bearing :P

If you're driving on a regular city street the road will be slanted towards the gutter slightly for water runoff. This causes the car to vere left ever so slightly.

Try driving on the opposite side of the road and see if it veeres right (because the road will be slanting the other way cause your on the wrong side of the road). Please find a safe quiet street to do this in, don't wanna have a head on.
