have you considered how many k's on the half cut?

I think you would be lucky to get $500 - $1K. Considering that the person would still need to buy a shit load of other parts to do a conversion (drivetrain, heaps of other little parts etc.) it would not be ideal. Also the kms are quite high, I bought my half cut for $2k with like 60k km. But thats just my opinion.

Is the gear box included?

if you sell the whole engine swap including axles, ecu, IM, intake arm, shift linkage I say no less than 2.5K

as above...

and $2K for a front cut... hhhmmmm wouldn't be EK4 or EG6 for that price... havn't been that cheap for well over 1.5 years.

I have bought 2 EG6 halfcuts for $2k, both with 60-70k kms, and my mate also bought his for $2k. You just have to be lucky and know the right people.

But yeh i agree, if you sell the whole package you can probably get $2-2.5k.

Got my first one a few years ago from mm autos in QLD, but i dont think they sell honda stuff any more. Second one i got through a mate a few months ago who knew a local honda wrecker in Adelaide.
My mate got his from 'Asian something' in QLD bout a year ago - cant remember the name but its a big company and advertises in magazines and stuff. He was lucky though as they had quoted me $2.5k the day before and when he rang they quoted him $2k??? So yeh like i said, its alot to do with luck. Just keep ringing around - and offer to pay with cash.

well with the recent popularity of people wanting to do swaps i dont think theres a lot of 2k swaps floating aorund. If anything 2.5K for b16a swap its pretty good for what it is. LOL a decent i/h/hfc/e/vafc setup costs just as much if not more.

Was down at FBI (Four brothers imports) in Adelaide and was speaking to the guy there. He said they had just got in a B16a halfcut at their other shop. It is a manual and only has 30000km. He wasnt sure of the price, but im pretty sure it is under $2.5k. This is a bargain for a halfcut with such low k's so if anyone is looking, give them a call.

If your just looking in melbourne the chances of finding one are slim, try and get phone numbers of all the import wreckers in aus.

Its usually sorted out buy the wreckers but you can opt to organise your own shipping.

is it gonna be delivered to any adress u give them?

Most shipping companies have trucks with hydrolic lifting trays, but some dont, if you go for one that doesnt (usually a cheaper option) it means you'll have to go to the melbourne depot and pic it up with a trailor yourself. Which means you'll need a block and tackle to unload the front cut when you get home.

Or if your getting someone else to do the swap for you, then they'll need that gear.
