Hi guys..
just trying to justify whether or not i should get one...my mate can sell me one at a reasonable price...
Just wondering how much better is it then the standard dc2r one?
Rumor is that it can shave about 0.5 seconds off 1/4 time and over 1 second around wakefield...true or false?
Why is it better than the standard one?
Is the standard dc2r lsd friction or viscous?
Is the ATS lsd spring or clutch loaded?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
cheers

if your car isnt gona be tracked often then its just a waste of money. Turning corners its clunks so its a tad annoying. Stock DC2R one is fine.
In terms of shaving off some time around wakie or down the 1/4 anyone on here will tell you that would just come down to the driver, doesnt matter how much power or parts you got it all comes down to how well you can drive.

as john has previously stated.. the dc2R one is pretty good already
unless ur setting up ur car for track use it wouldnt be worth the time.
just practice some launchg at WSID u'll get it eventually
IMO i think its pretty much the same

if your gona set ur car up for wakefield dont buy the lsd but instead use that money and get yourself a nice set of semis slicks.

I stumbled accross an independent review on this LSD recently actually. The reviewer gave it all thumbs up and said it provided much better traction than the stock LSD he had (can't remember what car). I'd do it while you've got the opportunity - if it is a real bargain.
Like others have said though, track-oriented LSDs can be annoying for daily drivers. Especially the clutch style ones as they grind and rattle and clunk etc and you end up having to replace plates every so often. Not that this is relevant if it's a mechanical one.
If it's not a huge bargain and you're set on an LSD, save up for a torque sensoring one or a full 2 way clutch one. Assuming you don't care so much about daily driving... it's always a compromise if you want both.
