This has been an ongoing problem. Every 3 or 4 months or so my clutch becomes a bit funny to use. Still Fully engages but just becomes a bit trickier to use. Then I check the fluid and it has gone a dark colour. I bleed it and it will be fine for another 3 months or so.
Just wondering where the dark colouring is coming from? Is it grease leaking from the master cylinder or something?
I never seem to lose much, if any, fluid. But whatever is happening definitely seems to be effecting how it works.
Should I get the master cylinder rebuilt?
Thanks

I would get it flushed and vacuum bled with new fluid. If it comes back I would change the flex line as I bet that would be the most likely problem area.
cam we can change the hose + new fluid easy as

New fluid isn't the problem. I've changed it about 4 times in the last 6 months.
When you say the flex line is the problem area. Do you mean that it's deterioating like jase said?
Yeah maybe I can get that braided one off you like we've been meaning to trav.
thanks guys.
yeah it COULD be a problem but it wouldnt hurt to replace it anyways, prolly fecked to hell atm

Mine popped the other day.... not cool when you pick the missus up from the airport and you got no clutch 10 mins after. Lucky we been together for 6 years or she would have thought I was doing the dodgy on her "We got a flat and I don't have a spare what are we gonna do stylez" :P
BTW Honda wanted 12 days to get a new one from JP! :thumbdwn: Ended up getting one made! For a 1/4 of the price too.
