could anyone recommend places to buy a rocker cover gasket for a d-series engine... apart from honda?

why not honda? should be pretty cheap.

i think one of the OH traders has OEM parts for sale

For D16z2 i got quoted $30 from honda plus 2 day waiting period. no other place seems to have them in the penrith area where i looked.

just go with oem... least you know they won't be some cheap faulty gasket... last thing you want is a leaking gasket...

most after market companies make these gaskets, ie. Fel-pro, Cometic, MR Gasket etc.

i doubt it would hard to find. a 2day wait is nothing mate :thumbsup:

It'll be a guaranteed fit if its from Honda.

i reckon someone should put up a diy for this.. really easy , just need some silicion and a 10mm socket and rachet + the gasket. shouldnt cost that much..

lol typerice is lucky hes not gettin flammed! that hard haha

the pics are all messed up but u should still have a good idea of what to do from the text.
The most important thing is to make sure the engine is cold as before you start as most people snap the studs during the removal and installation of the rocker cover.
I've done this over 5 times already on a d16 so if you need any help PM me.

I think I will just buy an OEM one, I didnt realise they were so cheap. Thanks for the help
