Many of us have probably experienced this before.

Wheel hop affects front wheel drive sports cars probably more than usual, and possibly a slightly worse, especially since it's that much harder to try and correct it from a driver's perspective in that case, due to weight transfer during acceleration working directly against you.

Is there anything that can be done to try and nullify this effect?

I've read that additional mounting may assist - what are your experiences and modifications to try and relieve this.

ES engine mount inserts or fill your mounts.

change you bushes/mounting inserts.
get a engine torque rod.

Traction bars help as well - but I've heard they reduce your turning circle. Haven't had any first hand experience with them myself though.

Solid engine mounts.

If you can't live with the vibrations transmitted to the cabin, then go for an engine torque damper. No point getting both.

There are heaps of things to look into, better and harder suspension for a start, solid engine mounts, polyurethane bushings, engine torque damper, better tyres and ultimately traction bar.
