Thinking of getting a new exhaust

Convince me which one is the best from the list:

Mugen Cat Back
Tanabe Medalian
Spoon N1

Can you tell us what you want as far as noise levels, outright performance, price, etc? You'll get better advice that way.

noise-wise, something in the mid range, not overly loud but nice and tonal.

Performance wise i'm after more. but I'm no fool, i know an exhaust frees up just a few ponies. That being said, am I best doing a full setup (Headers to muffler) or will a muffler by itself give me the braaaaap i'm after?

I bought an Xforce S10 yonks ago but never fitted it, I am more inclined now to go with a full system, plus I am a JDM whore.

you need the whole header to catback to achive better output.
Spoon n1 is an awesome exhaust which has a deep tone sound and mugen twin loop suits your need too, but quiter than the spoon. the apexi WS is a good choice as well

I would look at a XFORCE cat-back system,

Spoon n1, 2.25" aluminized pressbent catback, 2 resonators, one very happy honda driver.

spoon n1 is 2.36"

if its for that 95 prelude, then it would be best to get a 2.36inch cat back with some good headers....u'll get better a power output thru out the entire rev range

what sort of price is a Spoon N1 (full system and components)

spoon n1 is 2.36"

 ...i have a custom catback.

brand new ~ $700 for the axleback and ~$600 for the b pipe.

Second hand ~ $450-500 for the axleback and ~$3-400 for the b pipe.

Axleback is uber rare, b pipe even rarer, but its worth snapping one up if it comes up for sale.

if im not mistaken, spoon n1 only come with muffler, not catback.

I think you can get a set of decent ones from Xforce.. they are pretty cheap.. would say a replica mugen exhaust with twin loop cost around $500 from xforce..

is it worth going with pure mugen headers-twinloop? or can you get away with cheaper ones?

how does the fujitsubo compare

if im not mistaken, spoon n1 only come with muffler, not catback.

nah, spoon n1 can come as a catback. 2 separate parts, b pipe and axleback.

tanabe hyper is pretty nice. straight thru muffler design also. 2.38 inch mandrel bends ss. fairly quite from what i've heard (only heard reviews and sound clips tho) but around the same as mugen TL.

skinny if you want the bwam sound, u'll prolly need at least a hi flo cat, preferably paired with headers.

if ur getting a full system is it better to get headers/hi-flo cat/piping etc/muffler or is it better to get headers/normal cat/piping etc/muffler
?

2" or 2.25" is teh way to go, just put 2.5 in mine and feels like i lost all the power :(
and after a day of drivin im already sick of the mufflers sound.

im running the spoon n1 axle back i think it is very good
it's around the 105 db ,98 db with the silencer
i think if your car has the h22 you should be running a 2.5" exhaust
my spoon n1 doesnt look press bent to me!!!!
spoon is quality and not cheap so why would they make press bent exhaust systems??? thats my observation and opinion anyway !!!

thanks for the input fellas, theres a few other ones im looking at as well, RSR ExMag and Fujitsubo Legalis as well, theyre both cat back systems, although the H22A headers are pretty good from factory anyhows
