[euro] heavy steering wheel

i've just recently noticed that my steering wheel is heavy compared to other cars i've driven, funny that =P

i'm assuming its normal..

Yep mines a bit heavy as well. u get used to it =P

Maybe its the weight of the pulley? dunno..

I thought the Euro wheel was reasonably weighted and gave some indication where the wheels were pointed. Too much power assistance and you lose sensitivity, may as well drive a Corolla or a Kia.

Did you check tyre air pressure? And other thing. whenever i done hand car wash in shop, steering feel really light. i dont know what they did? I will find out next time.

it feels a bit heavy because the weigh of the wheels and normally euro got bigger wheels not like civic or corolla...

my one now is heavy now coz i put heavy big rim lolz...

I like it heavy. This was the big factor why I got this over the Mazda 6. Lack of weight and road feel in the 6 = poorer handling.

its heavier compared to a mazda3, but i drove a ford falcon for the 1st time in my life last night - after that, the euro's steering wheel feels light as a feather

Did you take the steering off to weigh it? in which case how heavy was it?

its just the way it is i spose
i'm happy with it, just slips a little when i need to make a rough turn with one hand

Agreed. The Heavier (although slightly) wheel makes me feel more attuned to what is actually happening with the car. I have driven cars with steering that felt way too light and I thought that it was just plain scary.
