My clutch is apparently 90% worn and im looking at replacing it. I looked into the stock option $1300 installed!! Or aftermarket "Extreme" sports clutch $850 installed...has anyone out there had experience wit this brand of clutch? Any recomendations, brands that fit GSi '95?

Hydraulic clutch gearbox B-series
Sports clutch plate Organic – $157
Sports clutch plate Ceramic – $294
Sports cover assembly - $209

OEM Spigot bearing & Release bearing - $42
So complet kit cost is $408 (organic) or $545 (ceramic)
Fitment is approx $350
So, you'd be looking at either $758 (organic) or $895 (ceramic) total
(fitted with new bearings)
The Daiken OEM standard clutch is cheaper again...

These prices are what we charge at ADVAN for Japanese Exedy clutches, not the Australian made Exedy "Sports Tuff"

Hope that helps...
Cheers

That quotes pretty expensive! Might want to purchase an Exedy option from Adrian/Advan (TODA AU) and get it installed somewhere local? Might prove cheaper....

yeah I know - the place I went to is notorious for over pricing but they are very good at wat they do. Not to sound up myself but money isnt really a problem, its just a problem when refering to honda genuine parts! Im in adealide btw

Jump on ebay, get a NKK/Daiken flywheel and Clutch kit shipped over from the us and install it yourself.. thats probly the cheapest way to go.

im with monstaR and typless, graham at Ward-While motors in boxhill is very good

Just a question for those who know.. the difference between the AUS and JAP Exedy clutchs? I was quoted 350$ for an exedy, but i dind't even think to ask if it was an ADVAN or not..

Will it say ADVAN on the box or something? How can i tell? Is 350$ a decent (normal) price for an ADVAN? thx

just cuase something is JDM, doesnt mean its better. goto a clutch specilist and ask about the brand exedy/daiken. they will tell u the truth.

rang a few clutch 'specialist' places today... impression i got when i rang 'em... is that they'll all try to sell you what they have in stock... or what they can make the most $$$ for...

whats the truth about exedy/daiken?...

Try excedy. There are two type. One is circuit plate(for street). Another one is tri-plate(for race). Depends on what you want!!
