Hey guys.

I'm getting my coils in the next coming weeks as i want them badly! Soo bad i cant wait. Anyways, what i wanted to know is that does these d2 coils come with the top camber plates? I'm not 100% sure if thats what they are called but thats what i'll call them. If i get these does this mean that i can adjust my camber back to zero? Cos yeah i'd like my camber to look tuff but i'm down for practacality and dont want to go through a set of tyres every few months. If there are any guys with D2's on their accords please post pics up.... and tell me how they feel.

Thanks

John

PS: if ur gonna persuade me to go for teins Forget it cos i'm made my mind so dont bother posting if thats wat ur gonna do :p

Aya... correct me if i'm wrong guys, but these top camber plates are usually called "pillow ball mounts". basically, see the one on the right, it can move, so u can shift the shock outwards.

CLICK (http://www.d2racingsports.com.au/suspension.htm)

Correct me if im wrong but most Honda's run on double wishbone suspensions which dont allow for pillowball top mount, the only honda's that gets the pillowball top mount according to that D2 list, is the DC5 and Honda City, which im sure the DC5's are made with macpherson struts. So no, theres no pillowball top mount for the CD Accords

I'm pretty sure the D2s come with pillow ball mounts. But even with the pillow ball mounts, you wont be able to change the camber because of the double wishbone suspension that we've got.
To adjust the camber, u've gota get a camber kit.

oh yeh... teins are betta :p

The coils come with pillow ball mounts BUT THEY ARE NOT CAMBER AJUSTABLE.
They just give a firmer road feel and wear out quicker than the standard rubber mounts

So what your saying to me is that i cant adjust my camber using my pillow top mounts? I thought thats what these things were designed for... Blardy mofo of honda...

So I was speaking to Poid, rear camber kit is pretty much Washer and Bolts. and cost prolly about 30-50 bucks... Where as the front cambers kits cost round 300 bucks...

There aren't as many options for camber adjustment for accords as civics etc.

You can use the washers and bolts for the rear. If you go by whitelines specs you should only adjust up to +1 deg with these though.

I just recently got a set of Ingalls front camber kits from the usa. There are two types. The anchor bolt type or the upper ball joint. They both have pros and cons. I went for the anchor one in the end simply because it had the widest range of adjustment. +1.25 to +3 deg. These cost me about $240aud shipped. The ball joint ones cost a little more but shipping is less so they end up about the same price.

You can also get full replacement, adjustable, upper control arms for the rear that let you give more adjustment than the washers. These cost a fair bit though. About the same as the front kits I think.

wat are the pros and cons of the anchor bolt type and the upper ball joint type?

In reference to the Ingalls kits the benefits of each, as I see it, are:

Ball Joint:
- Easier to adjust (Only one adjustment point on each side as opposed to two)
- Apparently has better clearance with the wheel well because it dosn't push the whole uca out.
- Replaces upper ball joint which may be getting old anyway.

Con:
- Also adjusts caster slightly (apparently?? Probably not enough to really worry about anyway)

Anchor Bolt:
- Biggest range of adjustment. +1.25 to +3 (as opposed to +1.5 to +3)
- Cheaper (dosn't really make a difference for us because of shipping)

They are both fairly straight forward to install. There are other brands that make the kits. SPC is another good brand. Lots of cheapo ebay ripoff's too but I wouldn't risk it with them.

No matter what brand you get though they seem to all use a similar design.

Except for this one. http://www.truckn-store.com/product.asp?returnURL=application_list.asp&ID=98031

This one seems to be the only replacement upper control arm available for the accords. However, when I enquired they wanted to charge more for shipping than for the item itself. Plus apparently the only one that anyone has used on a cb accord broke.

Pretty sure skunk2 don't make one for accords. Even if they do. You can get a good quality kit for alot less than $400. See my previous post.

I got them off these guys:

http://www.camberkit.com/home.php?cat=301

They also sell on ebay as iapdirect or something but they have good communication and a gazillion good trader ratings. Also, their prices on ebay are cheaper than those listed on their site.

I sat in his car just now..its really good. not too bumpy, not too soft. really really nice. all he needs now is a RSB and it should handle well.

LOL Yeah it can go lower.... When we first put in the suss, droped it and the lowest part of the car was sitting on the ground.... Which happens to be the support beam under the engine.

Yep sure is an After market Sunroof..... Tilt Baby Bring on the Tilt! OEM doesnt have tilt:P

And yeah i painted it Chrome looked gay as with the SiR lights, just didnt look right, so i went for the stealth look and it turned out pretty good and i'm quite happy with it.
