oem rubber = more grip
the metal look is tacky imo, and not as safe. Even worse when the bottom of your shoes are wet.

Yes its better to go the metal with the rubber bits on it. I've got metal razo ones that I bought the car with, and its a pain when my shoes are wet because I have to dry the bottom of my shoes otherwise my feet slip.

My friend got defected for his OEM ones in his impreza STI :thumbdwn: (they are metal and they are stock) but he still got the fine.

Anyhow, i got some RAZO ones (metal :() that i've been wanting to instal for ages but they screw into your stock ones, no brackets to wrap around, and i've noticed that my accelerator (as i'm sure most others are) is just a rod not a square place so if i take off the stock rubber/plastic one i can't screw it onto the rod:confused:

What kind do you have srunky and how did you/other ppl attach them

i got the Mugen ones, they have some wierd ass metal grip shit on the top of them, even when wet they grip heaps more than teh OEM rubber ones, which are crap when wet anyways.

Keep in mind the size of the stock metal pedal that is underneath the rubber in the car, particularly the accelerator pedal. I found out, only after I had bought and drilled the pedal, that it did not fit quite as easily as I would have hoped. Some aftermarket pedals are slightly curved so that you can't use double sided tape as you can't get good contact between the surfaces. Test fit all 3 (or 2) pedals before installation and make sure you can return them if they don't fit. Some shops will tell you everything fits but they don't really know.
