I would like to hear from others what coilovers they have fitted and what works well (best bang for buck, dont have to be a big brand name, as long as they do there job) for the EG Hatchback series civic. The reason I ask is I want to purchase the correct set first time.

I was going to put a h22a into my EG sedan but have decided to put it into a hacthback (once bought) and sell my sedan.

just go with a well known quality product. koni, tein, cusco etc
if your gona go with the h22a id probly look for a higher spring rate

go with whats right for you dude.

I cant contribute to an answer for your question, but evaluate where you are at in terms of your needs. WHat do you require out of these points

1) Price
2) Quality
3) Performance
4) reliability
5) parts for service

theres no point buying 2000 dollar tein coilovers if the last 4 points are only relatively important to you

everyone on here will tell you to get big dollar brand names... do your research and get whats right FOR YOU

and consider what your plans are for your EG, is it going to be a street car? track car? drag car? show car? bush basher? hehe

D2 coilovers are pretty good, have them on my car and havent had a problem yet
also they are relatively cheap

form what research I have found it seems that most EG H/B's I have spotted on the net with H22 conversion are using Koni coilovers with DC2 king springs in the front and rear. Could someone tell me which set of koni coilovers would suit this conversion, as I have seen that they come in red a yellow? Which is the better of the two? I wasn't aware the D2 listed a set for the EG hatch! how much roughly do they list for brand new, both the koni and D2 coilovers?

Lastly.... the hatch is to be used as a daliy driver with a few hill pass runs and traffic light fun.

ur a bit confused buddy, koni yellow/red are not coilovers they are just struts, usually not height adjustable

coilovers are the whole strut and spring together, most height and damper adjustable

for the eg hatch, u would get coilovers to suit a EG6/DC2R, and also using the ITR rear LCA
D2 coilovers go for around the $1.2k mark
