BUT some of the EK tops ive seen , have small points on the upper metal part (the round upper part)and sometimes wont fit inside other cars etc to be bolted up.

Ok thanks what about the alloy aftermarket ones, i noticed they are all round, where mine are oval on the rear, so if i get a set of round alloy aftermarket ones from a civic or integra they should go on okay since they are all flat on the top, would you go urethane or bearing, thanks.

They will suit fine.Id go Urethane as its similar to stock and not as harsh / will last longer

eg/dc tops didn't fit with my front ed springs, i think the rear tops have more of an oval shape so a front to rear swap won't work

Yeah, mine are oval on the rear of my DA as well, so you couldnt do a front rear swap, but other hondas are round front and rear. I also noticed the rears have a smaller diameter than the front, but i want some aftermarket alloy ones for my coilovers and they are all round, so as long as the diameter of the alloy ones is the same as or smaller in diameter than of my rear ones they should be fine. What worried me is that the alloy ones i was looking at had different diameters, so i wasnt sure if the larger diameter ones would fit under my strut towers, especially on the rear which i have about 9.5cm to play with.

Hi cant really answer that one, all i can say is i dont like the way my coilovers are seated with the standard strut tops. later.

the tops are oval but the spring tops are round. As long as the spring upper coil fits inside they should be fine

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p203/TEGNO1/struttops3.jpgHi just tried out the strut tops, fit perfect front and rear even though my rear ones are oval and my alloy ones are round, actually i think they are a better fit than the standard ones and seat my springs alot better too, you were right bennjamin, thanks.
