Hi

i just bought HIDs for my car, i've installed everything but they wont turn on:( .

any reasons why or suggestions on how to fix it?

fuse, or you hooked it up wrong.
or parts could be fualty.
they don't turn on at all? do they flicker?

nope....

its just doesnt turn on

when i turn it on to high beam...the bulb retracts but no light

how did you wire it up?

take one of the ballasts and run it directly to the battery... just to test if the ballasts even work... be sure there is a bulb connected to it though.

Do they tap straight into the stock wiring or is there a relayed wiring harness?

i'm quite sure that would be a relayed harness.

a lot of hid kits don't come with a relayed wiring harness... they just plug into the stock wiring

he H4 ones that "shifts" to allow more light for the highbeam, that i have seen come with a relayed harness

have you try just pluging the cable to the ballast opposite way?

probably not a good idea... lots of ballasts are polarity sensitive, and arbitrarily reversing it can burn 'em out


best bet is to start with the basics before going around messing with the power like that

i agree with saxman.

don't try to invert the connection, just connect to the battery and try the ballasts

i just found out that my ballast are faulty, i got a 1yr warranty on them
