i think it has hooked up in a right way ~~~~ and just checked the oil level as well alright as well, no leaking as well and this morning when i drive it again the strange sound is gone as well, i a thinking to get a oil pressure gauge to check~~~~

I have an oil cooler:

I don't have any unusual sounds.

I also helped a buddy install an oil cooler recently. I told him to ensure he connected the oil lines correctly. He didn't and had a ticking sound from the timing chain cover. We worked it out before he did any serious damage.

cant find any thing wrong with the installation the only reason i think it might be is the oil lead is too long ~~~~ hummmm the sound its not ticking sound it is actually like the oil is running inside but pretty loud....

sounds like your oil cooler kit is either upside down or theres a fair amount of air in it?

how loud is it ? u say u can only notice between 1 and 3 does it go away or u just cant hear it?
if your oil light has not come on and it goes away after 3 then i would either get a oil pressure guage till then keep one eye on your dash for warning lights or,
if it is a cheap o kit u can pull it out n check how it flows and that there r no restrictions or blockages have seen this before
get some video with sound n post up on u tube so we can see n hear whats going on

i will track the car soon and we can go together later~~~

changed the pressure with the gauge ideling arround 36psi rev up arround 80psi and i think it is normal is it?

usually the oil pressure will drop off abit when u install a oil cooler into ur car...

l m still confusing whether l want to install one into it or not , coz as we know our Vtec is very sensetive with the pressure issue .

ummm actually the car drives allright nth wrong Vtec is good as well only a little noise from the oil lead when the rpm is arround 1-3k, but i think it is still a good idea to install one becoz i can actually feel that the oil lead that goes into the engine after the cooler is actually a little bit cooler than the oil lead that come out from the engine be4 the cooler. i think it will help a lot for high reving drive or track day.

I know the B motors are 75-80 psi stock at WOT.

oil cooler kits cannot be installed incorrectly.
only when using a relocation kit can you stuff it up when you reverse the leads into the oil filter

75-85psi would be normal.
it may be lower if you do have a large oil cooler due to pressure drop.

so it means 36psi when ideling is way to low??
when the car is in cold start it will have 70-80psi but when the temp reach to 3 bar the pressure will dropped to 36-37psi at the rpm of 800~~~~
some ppl told me it is normal some ppl tell me it is not ~~~ getting confuse now~~~
but thx so much guys for helping love u all haha (dont worry i am not gay)

B series engines are:

20-25 psi at Idel
75-80 psi at WOT

I don't mean to get you worried, but is a fact that oil coolers and their associated piping decrease oil pressure. I removed mine because of that fact. Also I am not a serious track dude so I don't need a cooler.

If I was putting a oil cooler in, I would bump up the pressure via the releif valve to no less than stock figures.

Hope that helps.

then i think my oil pressure wont be dropping a lot becoz i got
250kpa at idel
600kpa at Wot(is that mean when vtec out or high reving the engine??)

i have did a calulation ideling will be arround 36 and Wot will be arround 87-90 if they were in psi

thanks a lot DL001 that really helps a lot even is not the same engine but i think they are similar~~~

just get a mechanic to check it...

600kpa at Wot(is that mean when vtec out or high reving the engine??)

Yeh, at Wide Open Throttle. You should be getting max pressure at Med Rpm, your releif valve will open to maintain max pressure.

actually this oil cooler kit is install by a mechanic and he said it is okay it is normal, the reason i ask is becoz i am worry abt the little noise but after all of u guy kindness help my worry is gone and i find that out there is noise becoz of the oil flow.

Make sure you take your pressure readings after a bit of a drive.

At first my car will idle with 45 PSI of pressure (cause its still warming up and the oil is thick) but once i go for a drive and the oil thins out i end up with about 25 PSI Oil pressure. I tend to hit max oil pressure pretty early (75 PSI @ 3500 RPM which holds steady through to red line, even throughout the vtec engagement.)

after i bit drive i got 36psi first start i got 72.5psi and WOT i got 80-90psi it seems to be high enough for the oil pressure compare to the B engine but just dont know what will be pressure from the f20c hopefully they are all the same
thx jason
