Steering wheel power hose recall on Accord V6?

I just booked in our MY05 Accord V6 for its 20,000km service and was told they need to change the steering wheel power hose under warranty...

What is this for, exactly? Is it a recall?

i would say its a recall. the reason why it has not been publically announced is because it is not seemed to be a saftey issue. if it was an issue with SRS systems ( airbags and seatbelts ) or brakes etc then it would be a mainstream recall.

your best chance of finding out why is to ask your honda dealer. eitherway, its not something to worry about.

basicaly the hoses are poorley inslulated at the top outlet hose that connects to the rack and some have burnt holes in the hoses,also the front powerstering cooler is to small,so the have designed a new top hose and fins fitted to a new coller that sits behind the bumper.

is the VTi Accord also affected or just the V6s?
