Just put it in first gear, put your clutch to the floor, rev it to 2 or 3k then dump your clutch and keep the accelerator to the floor. You might go a bit faster revving just above vtec (5k ish - if you even have it), but you don't want to spin your wheels on the street as it makes you look like a t00l.

the best way is to put it on 5th gear hold the clutch and hit the rev limiter then dump the clutch.

oh ok, cant be good though eh, so best recommended to change to 2nd gear straight after so i dont kill the car?

and when you shift. keep your foot on the gas. don't take your foot off it

the best way to get a clean fast launch is to use whats avilable to you from your car, the key components are the gas, clutch your hands and your feet

put it in first, build up the revs to just before where power really starts to kick in... i launch near vtec crossover, the you dont dump the clutch, you feather it, create a bit of slip to begin with, and ride the clutch until you get a bit of momentum. Once you start moving feed in more throttle and let the clutch out

the key to getting moving is to minimise wheelspin, and focus on momentum

rev limiter is there for a reason

use it or lose it

one day you'll shift and there'll be no more rev limiter cause you didn't excercise it enough.

open your bonnet and find your accelerator cable

tighten that so that you're always at WOT

that way your right leg wont get tired

hhahahahahaahhaahahahahaha
So did any of tha above posts (appart from zili) actually help to guy
I usually do what most of you seem to be doing, rev it (not to red line) about 3-4 and play with the clutch, if i 'dump' it it just wheel spins, fun but useless if you are trying to leave in a hurry

What's the next step, get an auto so you left leg won't get tired either and than you just steer :p

well 7000rpm is the optimum launch rpm for the s2000.

its a good thing to get wheelspin in the s2000. not because its faster but because you're protecting the rear diff as all the stress has been released due to the wheelspin. so your diff will last much longer than if you launched at 4krpm and got all the grip in the world

in a FWD you don't even need to do the steering. you got torque steer on your side

umm.. you push da clutch all da way down.. and keep on tapping the accelerator to get da revs up .. den let go of the clutch and push da accelerator down to da floor..

the tyres would also squeak and shit..
