Hi I'm travelling in Canada and can buy a well priced 'Tunebase' ( by Belkin) they enable the ipod to be used in the JAzz- using the power souces and FM radio

I don't want to buy it if it doesn't work well or fit well

OPinions would be really apreciated

G'day

I've got the newer ipod nano and use to use the belkin tunefm with power supply and in my opinion its good but not fantastic.

You'll hear white noise no matter where you put your ipod, but I imagaine it would be the same with all fm transmitters.

Its definitely handy, you can use it outside of the car, at bbqs and stuff, and for that reason its better than the tunebase fm. I'm pretty sure with the tunebase the transmitter is part of the power stalk.

Becareful if you've got the newer ipod nano cause its not compatible with the nano tunebasefm since it was designed for the old nano. The power supply slot on the old and new nano are slightly out by about 3mm. If you want the tunebase you'll need to get the one for the full sized ipod but it looks really stupid when you've got it plugged in cause you've got big gaps on both L/R sides.

I bought a new headunit with ipod cable and it sounds so much better. If you dont want to spend money on a new head unit, use the aux input, it would sound much better than a fm transmitter. If ozhonda doesnt have the DIY, try ausfit.com a great forum for jazz/fit owners.

hi there,

well, imo i think using a FM transmitter for listening mp3 in your is not so encouraging. hehe, no offence ya. using a FM transmitter is just like listening radio. the quality of the music will be far away from a CD.

i never try anything like aux input yet. sorry for unable to response with this question :P
